Group Financial Manager

Qualifications:

• B. Com Accounting Degree or completed CIMA qualification
• CA(SA)
• A minimum of four to five years post articles
• Experience in Sage Pastel, Sage VIP, Draft Worx / CaseWare

Job description & Skills

• Responsible for managing the group finance function.
• Responsible for Accounting and Reporting.
• Preparation of financial statements, internal financial reporting.
• Financial analysis as well as related processes and controls.
• Provide monthly reporting for each group entity including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Debtor Analysis,
• Gross Profit, Cash flow Summary.
• Reconciliation of, and submission of PAYE, VAT, UIF returns monthly & payments.
• Review debtors and creditors applications.
• Preparation and reviewing payments.
• Management of supplier documentation.
• Automation of reporting process.
• Pursue opportunities for cost savings.
• Implementation and maintenance of key internal controls to manage risk within the Group.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements as it relates to the group.
• Provide financial support to Managers and other business units through the preparation and analysis of financial information.
• Ensuring adherence to reporting deadlines.
• Review and maintenance of accurate and up to date Fixed Asset Register.
• Maintenance of contract register.
• Prepare and review Income tax returns, Provisional tax return and EMP501 returns, and Dividend Declarations and the payments thereof.
• Provisional Tax & Income tax calculation and payments.
• Scrutinizes all contracts, leases and agreements and vets them from a legal and sound commercial perspective to ensure they comply with the Company’s requirements.
• Ensure that the Company complies with the relevant statutory and tax legislation.
• Ad hoc tasks.
