A leading insurance provider, specializing in long- and short-term insurance, is looking for an energetic, target driven person to join their finance team as a Financial Manager. The role will have a team of accountants to reporting to him/her.

POSITION INFO:

A leading insurance provider, specializing in long- and short-term insurance, is looking for an energetic, target driven person to join their finance team as a Financial Manager. The role will have a team of accountants to reporting to him/her.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of monthly financial statements as well as supporting the month-end and year-end close process. The successful candidate will also be responsible for assisting the Divisional CFO with the budgeting process and ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. The successful candidate will also take on the responsibility of reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

CA (SA)

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

At least 3-5 years post article experience
Experience in the financial services/insurance industries is preferred
Must have management experience – will lead a team of 5.
Problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
Excellent people management and leadership skill
