Group HR Manager

SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity exists for a seasoned and driven Group HR Manager to join our senior management team. We are looking for an HR professional with a strong strategic and operational background who will take ownership of the full Human Resources function across the group. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in HR operations, industrial relations, compliance, and project implementation, coupled with a passion for building a positive and productive workforce.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or equivalent (NQF Level 7)
• At least 5 years’ experience managing HR operations or HR administration
• Proven experience in implementing and managing HR systems and processes
• Solid understanding of SLP (Social and Labour Plans) and Contractor Pack management
• Experience in preparing tender files
• Sound knowledge of BCEA, Labour Law, Employment Equity and CCMA procedures

• Manage day-to-day HR operations and provide support to site managers and supervisors
• Lead the implementation of HR initiatives including performance management and career development
• Oversee Employment Equity planning and reporting, and facilitate quarterly EE meetings
• Ensure legal compliance across HR practices, policies, and labour relations
• Lead and support disciplinary hearings, grievance handling, and CCMA case management
• Maintain accurate HR records, compile monthly HR data, and support strategic decision-making
• Facilitate training plans, monitor trainee progress, and support skills development aligned with B-BBEE targets
• Drive talent planning, recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies
• Ensure all employees have valid contracts and current job descriptions
• Promote organisational values, culture, and employee engagement initiatives
• Work closely with leadership to maintain motivation and staff wellness
• Provide guidance and mentorship on HR best practices and legal frameworks
• Monitor and report on HR indicators including absenteeism, disciplinary trends, and staff well-being
