As the Group Internal Audit Manager, you won’t just tick boxes- you’ll run the whole audit show. From crafting audit plans that would make any spreadsheet proud, to diving into data, wrangling risks, and reminding people that “policies exist for a reason.” You’ll be the go-to person for assurance, advice, and occasionally, calming the chaos.

What You’ll Be Doing (aka Your Audit Superpowers):
Audit Delivery

• Build and maintain a group-wide audit programme strong enough to make ISO blush
• Roll out a 12-month audit plan covering stores and corporate- yes, both
• Execute top-tier audits focused on high-risk financial and operational areas
• Use CAATS tools (IDEA lovers, this is your moment) to make the data talk
• Produce clear, action-packed audit reports and lead investigations when things get… suspicious
• Complete 41 store audits + 4 corporate audits a year- your calendar will never be bored

• Keep the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework alive, updated, and fabulous
• Refresh the Group Risk Matrix and GAP analysis like the pro you are
• Align policies with best practice (and gently remind people to follow them)
• Track corrective actions and reduce recurring findings- because déjà vu is overrated

• Work with management to turn findings into improvements, not just paperwork
• Support better controls, smarter processes, and automation dreams
• Champion data-driven decision-making (spreadsheet warriors unite)

• Build strong relationships with Finance, Operations, and the Audit Committee
• Present audit results clearly- no smoke, no mirrors, just the facts
• Drive accountability and continuous improvement across the group

• CA(SA) preferred
• 8 years internal audit experience- retail, FMCG, distribution or group environments are ideal
• Strong data analytics superpowers with CAATS experience (ACL = gold star)
• Deep knowledge of governance, risk, and control frameworks
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills
• High integrity and solid judgment
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the audit file
• Collaborative, confident, and calm under pressure
• Thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
