POSITION INFO:
Purpose:
Managing the group and sectional level across the organization, inclusive of all horizontal line management within the service division.
 
The Service Group Leader will additionally be accountable for developing and implementing departmental plans and objectives in line with business strategies and ensuring compliance thereof.

Minimum Qualifications:
Relevant trade certificate or engineering qualification: Essential
Relevant managerial qualification: Essential.

Minimum Experience:
Earthmoving equipment or mining industry Operational 7 years; Managerial 3 years.

Roles and Responsibilities include inter alia:
Strategy Development and Implementation
Adhere and comply to company policies and procedures
Ensure the increase and retention of market share
Promote and increase the participation in aftermarket
Timeous daily, weekly, monthly and annual reporting
Annual group budgeting and forecasting
 
Service Management
Ensure that customer queries and complaints are dealt with efficiently and effectively
Take remedial action to ensure customer satisfaction
Identify and exploit new business opportunities through customer interaction
Control and manage aftermarket activities
Provide support to internal and external customers
Develop and manage service level agreements and contracts with service providers
Compile and submit work-in-progress exception report
Monitor disputes and queries in terms of debtors
Manage the preparation of new equipment and selling of services, parts, out-work and assets
Manage the administration of pre-delivery inspection documentation and warranty registration
Ensure orders are accurately processed as per Sales Service Credit Schedule
Manage warranty claims
Manage and approve the costing quotation process
