Group Legal Manager

  • Ensuring that all areas of the business is compliant with various legislation and JSE requirements.

    • Drafting of policies in order to ensure that the necessary procedures and adherence to legislative guidelines are being maintained.

    • Maintaining legal register.

    • Provide guidance and consultation to management regarding legal compliance and acting within the ambit of the law.

    • Ensure he remains updated on all construction legislation and any new legislation in the industry.

    • Remains up to date on all legislation updates and changes

    Drafting of all legal and non-legal contracts within the group.

    • Drafting and review of all legal agreements.

    • Drafting of correspondence for all matters in the group.

    • Responding to any legal matters raised against the group.

    • Drafting of any commercial documentation.

    • Review of legal documents on behalf of the Directors and the group.

    • Ensuring that all legal documentation utilized in the company are standardized and appropriately protects the Company standing and best practice.

    • Drafting of sales agreements and ensuring compliance with the required POPI Act

    Effective management of all NHBRC applications and requirements.

    • Management of all legal matters for body corporates and ensures legal compliance.

    • Identify risks and ensure that the necessary steps are taken to mitigate and/or resolve risk.

    • Communicate effectively with NHBRC in terms of their requirements and ensures that XXX  is compliant.

    • Provides advice and guidance to body corporates.

    • Must have a good understanding of the following:  Company Law / Property Law / Sectional Titles and Town Planning by-law
