An exciting opportunity has opened for a seasoned finance professional to join a dynamic, international mining group as Group Manager, Finance. This is a high-impact leadership role with broad responsibility for the full finance function – including financial reporting, accounting, treasury, and tax – across a complex, multinational structure.

Working closely with the President, CFO, and other senior executives, the successful candidate will ensure that accurate and timely financial information underpins key business decisions. This role also includes oversight of a high-performing finance team based in Sandton and collaboration with auditors, directors, and trustees across jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading group and statutory financial reporting, including consolidations, management accounts, and board reports
Preparing key corporate reporting deliverables such as the Annual Information Form and ESTMA submissions
Overseeing treasury, budgeting, payroll, and tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions
Managing finance-related aspects of share incentive schemes and strategic corporate transactions
Coaching and motivating a team of senior finance professionals

The ideal candidate will have:

CA(SA) qualification (mandatory)
A minimum of 10 years'' finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
Expertise in financial reporting, statutory compliance, and treasury management in a multinational setting
Advanced MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills; experience with JDE and knowledge of the mining industry would be advantageous
Exceptional written communication skills in English; French language proficiency would be a plus
