Group Reporting Manager - CA

SUMMARY:
The position shall have the primary responsibility to ensure the integrity of the Groups reported accounting information by complying with IFRS and other accounting standards, the Group’s consolidated results and the related business intelligence enabling system eg Power BI.

• CA SA or other recognised professional financial qualification
• Finance controls and good practices
• Accounting principles
• Reporting and Business Intelligence systems

Responsibilities:

Group Financial reporting:

• Provide Group Financial Reports on time 
• Oversee and review  subsidiary monthly reporting
• Perform the monthly Group consolidations
• Ensure compliance with all IFRS and other accounting standards across the Group
• Ensure Group disclosure is to the latest standards by co-operating with auditors’ technical resources
• Ensure the timeous completion of the AFS annually for the Holding Company and related subsidiaries
• Oversee the Group budgeting and forecasting functions
• Assurance on the integrity of the Business Intelligence tools across the group
• Assess and evaluate the impairment of intercompany investment and loan accounts
• Assurance on correctness of all consolidating entries
• Assurance that  all month-end and year-end transactions are recorded
• Ensure all non-systematic transactions are included in consolidated results
• Co-ordinate annual audits and liaise with auditors, prepare info for auditors and oversee audit process
• Cooperate with external audit for the completion of the audit and reporting the Group AFS 
• Prepare and distribute year-end audit packs for all Group companies to be completed by the applicable finance team
• Prepare the Integrated Report on an annual basis
• Prepare interim financial report
• Assist with the budgeting and cash flow forecast templates-ensuring it is correct and enabling reporting against it
• Supervise and provide guidance on the work activities of accounting and bookkeeping personnel within Group

Group Taxation:

• Ensure year-end tax computations as well as deferred tax for all companies in the Group are prepared in accordance with relevant legislation
• Calculate Group tax rate reconciliations
• Calculate Group Capital Gains/Losses on Sale of Assets 
• Prepare Group tax journals and reviewing consolidation journals for tax implications and treatment
• Liaise with SARS and  Group’s tax auditors with regards to tax queries and tax submissions
• Ensure the Group’s monthly, quarterly, annual tax submission to the relevant tax authorities and related reconciliations are submitted timeously (e.g. VAT, PAYE, provisional tax etc)
• Oversee / review the preparation of  IT14SD reconciliations as and when requested by SARS
• Ensure provisional tax calculations for all local companies are prepared and submitted timeously to the relevant tax authorities
• Ensure all companies within the group are tax compliant

Group Quality and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with accounting and finance standards, best practices, and government regulations
