SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a commercially sharp Supply Chain leader to own their group's entire inbound value chain — sourcing, supplier management, inventory and international logistics — across multiple manufacturing and distribution operations.

This is a decision-making role based in Mauritius, not a coordination function, reporting directly to the Group Head of Operations.

Location: Mauritius (primary base) | Extensive travel (SA, China, Europe, India — approx. 35–45%)

POSITION INFO:
Requirements Degree in supply chain, industrial\/mechanical engineering or commerce 12+ years in industrial procurement\/supply chain, including 5+ years in a group or multi-country role with delegated buying authority Category depth across at least two of: steel & plate, polymers\/chemicals, rubber compound, bearings\/power transmission, castings\/forgings Direct sourcing experience from China (supplier ID, audit, qualification, negotiation - no agents) ERP experience (SYSPRO preferred) covering MRP, item master governance and purchase pricing Strong international logistics knowledge: Incoterms, customs, imports\/exports into Africa, South America, Australia and Asia Demonstrated ability to build a landed cost model and defend savings to a CFO Willingness to relocate to and reside in Mauritius Fluent business English essential; French advantageous What You Will Be Doing Owning group sourcing and category strategy, supplier selection and commercial award, inventory policy and the integrated supply plan. You'll lead a geographically distributed procurement, planning and logistics team, chair supplier and category reviews, drive landed cost reduction, and bring supplier-enabled innovation and localisation opportunities to the business.
