Company and Job Description:
A reputable company within the financial services industry is seeking a Group Tax Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional with a strong technical background in compliance and reporting to take on a strategic role. The successful candidate will be responsible for tax planning, regulatory compliance, and reporting across the group and its subsidiaries, with exposure to multiple tax types and interaction with both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:

Prepare and file income tax, VAT, PAYE, and ETI returns for the organisation and its subsidiaries
- Assist in tax planning strategies to minimise tax liabilities and optimise assessed losses
- Ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations
- Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities on assessments and audits
- Analyse financial data to determine tax implications and present findings to management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date tax documentation and records
- Provide internal support and guidance on tax-related matters across departments

Requirements:

Honours degree in Taxation
- Registered Tax Practitioner (SAIT accreditation)
- Minimum 2-3 of years’ experience post SAIT articles
- In-depth knowledge of South African tax legislation
- Strong proficiency in SAP, tax software, and Microsoft Excel
