SUMMARY:
My client in the tax services industry is seeking a HR Generalist / Manager to join their team. This is a high energy, fast paced environment.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in HR related role (essential).
  • Deep understanding of Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
  • Efficient HR administration and people management skills.
  • Excellent record keeping skills.
  • Fantastic knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works comfortably under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Superb computer literacy with capability in email and MS Office.
  • Remarkable organisational and conflict management skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities: 

  • Holistically attending to the full HR spectrum.
  • Work with the Senior Management to determine workforce needs, identify human resource and competency gaps, and devise a development and workforce plan to facilitate staff retention.
  • Designing company policies and setting objectives for the company as well as HR strategic planning.
  • Plan / improve and implement employee benefit, payroll, health, and safety programs.
  • Staff care: Develop supportive plans of action as part of the overall response strategy, ensuring a comprehensive approach to support employee relations & discipline whilst monitoring and creating a healthy work environment. Recommendations in this plan should address actionable activities and advice to support the morale and the social, physical, and psychological well-being of staff.
  • Serve as the primary source of HR knowledge in response to employee and/or supervisor requests, be well versed in HR Policies, and provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly HR metrics (e.g., turnover rates and cost-per-hire) as required.
  • HR administration & compliance: Maintain HR documents, platforms, and databases etc.
  • Overseeing the full cycle recruitment process by assisting the Head of Recruitment with various tasks including job offers and contracts as well as support and recommendations for improvements.
  • Design and action interesting onboarding sessions and processes for new recruits.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for all new employees and guiding them on the principals and culture of the company including orientation and Induction.
  • Lead all employee relations with professional grace. Act as an impartial mediator in disciplinary procedures and lead investigations to resolve issues/conflict in the workplace.
  • Lead exit management procedure to ensure seamless and positive transition for departing employees.
