HR, IR and Payroll Manager - Fourways - retail

POSITION INFO:

Administrate and manage the full and complete HR function for the fast-paced market leader in the retail and wholesale space that has been in business for 46 years.

Duties include:

HR Admin
• Continuously review current human resource practices, policies, procedures and systems and recommend initiatives to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice.
• Employment contracts
• Develop job profiles ensuring that all employees have been issued with same and understand the contents and revise on an ongoing basis to ensure relevance.
• Probation management
• Performance Management
• Leave management
• Onboarding and exit procedures
• Policies and Procedures
• Ensure fair labour practices
• Driving organisational culture and leading by example.
• Actively involved in all aspects of recruitment and selection by preparing job specifications, posting ads and managing the employment process from start all the way through to on boarding and induction.
• Assist in the development, coordination and implementation of organisational goals, succession planning and change management initiatives through consultation with key stakeholders and track and report on outcomes.

• Ensuring welfare of staff
• Assist in the performance management process by coaching and training supervisors / managers in the administration and application of the performance management system and track completion.
• Provide meaningful statistical data regarding employee turnover, overtime, working hours, staff compliment and disciplinary issues.

Skills development plan submissions and maintenance
BEE - YES youth program management
Learnerships management
Internal bursaries management
Manage sick leave in the company.

EE & SD
• Complete all reporting and compilation of EE reports and WSP and ATR, manage Grant applications and assist with BBBEE implementation and continuation (currently non-compliant on BBBEE)

IR Function
• Disciplinary action, procedures, grievances and complaints

Payroll
Manage Payroll team of three employees.
Collecting leave information from employees
Assisting with Handling of all payroll queries with staff
Providing information to finance re new appointments, resignations, change of pay grades etc.
Capturing of quarterly statistic of labour cost
Pension fund withdrawals and other issues
Workmen’s compensation submissions
Assisting with system design testing and implementation

** Any other responsibilities that may be assigned by management

Requirements:
• Degree in HR Management and practices
• 5 years plus experience in a management role
• A thorough knowledge of below legislation:
BCEA, Labour relations Act, EE Act, Skills development Act, Sectoral Determinations especially wholesale and retail sector)
• Strong numerical aptitude
• Sound knowledge of MS office
• VIP Payroll experience
• Ability to act professionally and in confidence at all times.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Attention to detail.
• Wholesale/Retail Experience – non-negotiable.
• Must have own transport
• Strong negotiation skills

Salary - R45 - R65 000pm CTC
