HR Manager

SUMMARY:
We are seeking an HR Manager for a Permanent position based 70km outside of East London, Eastern Cape.

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• B.Degree or equivalent in HR.  Relevant post graduate degree or additional qualifications advantageous
• 10 years’ experience in HR of which at least 2 years must be in management
• MS Office literate and HR software
• Transport is provided from a central point to and from the workplace, and therefore the candidate must be able to accommodate longer hours due to travel time
• Fluency in Xhosa recommended

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Performance management & organisational culture – scorecards, job descriptions, KPA’s are aligned, initiate interventions
• Employee wellness – Overseeing clinic, managing employee wellness interventions
• Industrial relations – ensure HR policies are aligned with legislation, training of all parties, manage union relations and interactions, represent organization at hearings and investigations, fair implementation of discipline
• Training & Development – Identify needs through analysis, source material, liaise with suppliers, evaluate training, maintain recording including ABET
• Recruitment & Placement – Method selection, compile shortlists and interview, recruitment administration, induction advice, coordinate probationary period
• Compensation/benefits admin – oversee all leave, relay payroll information, ensure accurate pay scales
• Personnel Admin – Manage/report on EE and Skills Development, manage contracts, ensure updated personnel records
• Supervision & management – Oversee HR personnel, coach/mentor HR members, prepare HR budget
