Skills and Experience:

 

  • Successful track record of developing effective people management solutions that have facilitated achievement of business strategy and objectives
  • Expert understanding of the entire employee value chain and core people processes
  • Ability to translate the overall strategy into clear, actionable and realistic plans
  • In-depth knowledge of labour law and HR Best Practices
  • HR systems
  • HR shared services and payroll
  • Experience in running projects
  • Experience with HR metrics and reporting
  • Ability to build, develop lead professional level teams
  • Working knowledge of HR systems
  • Contribute to the business strategy by identifying, prioritising, and building organisational capabilities, behaviours and processes
  • Oversee all HR related projects as identified in line with the HR people strategy
  • Participate in the implementation of all HR initiatives into business, in support of the HR strategy
  • Support business in any other initiatives as identified to help business achieve their operational and strategic objectives
  • Drive recruitment, performance management, talent management and succession planning across the business
  • Advise and guide leadership in forecasting and planning the talent pipeline requirements in line with the business strategy
  • Accountable for the identification and implementation of business appropriate learning interventions
  • Ensure leadership, coaching and performance culture is cascaded through the organisation
Key Accountabilities:
  • Lead and manage an HR team
  • Provide input into HR policies and ensure that relevant HR policies are implemented consistently and fairly across all business units
  • Actively identify and participate in HR related business risk mitigation
  • Promote, drive and manage sound employee relations to create an awareness of the well-being of the business
  • Act as an advisor to the relevant leadership of any potential employee relations matters
  • Responsible for the overall dashboard reporting and ensure that the appropriate analysis is conducted on all aspects related to HR activities in the business i.e. employee churn, learning initiatives, employment equity, employee relations activities etc.
  • Drive all diversity and inclusion objectives across the Cluster
  • Oversee all remuneration and reward for the Cluster in line with Remuneration policy
  • Champion the embedding of Group Values and desired Culture in the business
