Our client in the Building Industry has an opportunity available for an HR Manager to be based in the Cape Town area.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements:

Human Resources Degree/ Diploma.
Minimum of 5years experience in an HR Officer or HR Manager Role.
Experience in the Construction/ Building Industry (preferrable).
Experienced in handling IR, disciplinary and Bargaining Council matters.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
Assertive, with good interpersonal skills and high-level emotional maturity
Fluent in English and Afrikaans
Possess a valid driver’s license

KPAs:

Develop the HR Department and function in the business to become highly effective in supporting the achievement of the company’s goals & objectives.
Provide strategic support to management in the implementation of the company’s strategy.
Develop policies and procedures to help create a well-functioning organisation.
Manage the recruitment process to effectively support department staffing needs
Manage company Payroll for Salary and Wage staff.
Manage the HR Information Management System and provide accurate HR reports.
Manage and act on industrial relations issues within company policies, procedures, and legislation.
Manage Staff Performance, disciplinary and hearing matters.
Manage Workmens Compensation, UIF, BIBC staff benefits (Building Industry Bargaining Council).
