Our client, a well established small-to-medium sized packaging manufacturer, seeks to employ a vibrant, organized and professional HR Assistant to assist the Financial Director with HR related functions.

Please note that this is role is specifically to candidates who have a Human Resource background, in a predominantly blue collar manufacturing environment, and who can start immediately, therefore, only Cape Town applicants will be considered.

You must be able to work independently and accurately keep records and be proactive in your approach to ensuring the profitability of the company.

You will have completed Matric, coupled with either a completed or partially completed HR qualification and 2-3 years’ experience in weekly Pastel Payroll, compiling BBBEE and EE reports/submissions, as well as Workplace Skills Plans and Annual Training Reports
In addition, you will have experience in managing IOD’s and staff wellness and safety in the plant.
You will also have experience in recruitment, job profiling, leave and absenteeism monitoring, ensuring IR procedures are followed and liaise with an external labour practitioner, and maintain organized and up to date employee files.
You will also be responsible for monitoring company assets such as vehicles tracking, company cell phone billing and chair health and safety meetings
You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
