HR and Payroll Manager – Swellendam

Our client is seeking to employ an experienced, professional, and self-motivated HR and Payroll Manager to join their dynamic team based in Swellendam.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements: Qualification in Human Resources Management, Labour Relations, or a related field. At least three years of relevant experience in HR and payroll administration. Practical experience with PaySpace would be highly advantageous. Good knowledge of South African labour legislation and payroll administration. Knowledge of PAYE, UIF, employee tax requirements, and COIDA\/Compensation Fund matters. Strong administrative and organisational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High level of professional ethics and the ability to handle confidential information discreetly. Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. Experience in a professional services firm or accounting practice would be advantageous. Responsibilities: Process and manage client payroll using PaySpace. Administer employee tax obligations, including EMP201 returns, EMP501 reconciliations, and IRP5 certificates. Manage UIF and other statutory registrations, amendments, and obligations. Handle COIDA and Compensation Fund matters for clients. Provide payroll advice and support to clients. Manage the complete HR function for internal staff. Draft and maintain employment contracts and employee records. Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures. Manage recruitment, onboarding, and termination processes. Support management with staff-related matters. Handle disciplinary processes, grievances, and other labour-relations matters. Ensure compliance with applicable labour legislation. Promote positive employee relations and support staff wellbeing. Maintain a high standard of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive employee and client information.
