SUMMARY:
A well-known international company requires the above to manage and oversee all HSEQ and ISO systems and processes within this Chemical Distribution and Manufacturing business.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Ideal candidate must have a tertiary qualification in either a Sciences or SHEQ or related qualification is pref.
  • Previous experience having worked as a HSEQ / ISO Manager within a Supply Chain environment within a Chemical or related manufacturing or distribution industry is essential.
  • Must have a commercial drive and analytical mindset with good interpersonal skills is essential.
  • Must be an analytical self-starter with excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to work under pressure meeting deadlines and be able to prioritise accordingly.
  • Must understand the operations and distribution side of the business.
  • Previous experience having implemented and audited new and existing systems is essential.
  • Previous experience having worked on ISO 9001 and 2001 safety environmental quality systems is pref.
  • The candidate needs to understand good Distribution practices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Guide, support and promote awareness to internal personnel with the implementation of the company’s HSEQ policies, procedures and guiding principles.
  • Provide guidance on local legislative and regulation updates, ensuring compliance.
  • Overall responsibility / authority for all incidents and accident management, liaising with registration bodies, customers and suppliers as necessary to resolve any related problems.
  • Carry out internal and co-ordinate external audits and other performance evaluation activities.
  • Manage and keep up to date with HSEQ related documentation like permits, licenses, risk assessments, audit-reports, etc.
  • Distribute safety data sheets pro-actively to customers and warehouses.
  • Implement and maintain ISO Quality Management system accreditations.
  • Facilitate external supplier and regulatory ISO authority audits.
  • Oversee internal and external ISO audits.
  • Oversee reporting and monitoring and activation of new product codes.
  • Maintain the integrity of current product master.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
