SUMMARY:
We are currently seeking an HVAC Design Engineer to join a client in Johannesburg East.

POSITION INFO:
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team and contribute to the design and development of energy-efficient heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop HVAC systems for commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and ductwork and piping design using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to integrate HVAC systems into overall building designs.
Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, ASHRAE standards, and local regulations.
Conduct site visits and inspections to verify design implementation and system performance.
Assist in project documentation, reporting, and client presentations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience in HVAC system design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and HVAC design tools
Strong understanding of HVAC principles, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
