Position: Head Chef Location: Kloof Street, Cape Town Key Responsibilities: Oversee all kitchen operations and ensure smooth functionality. Lead and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment. Develop and update menus to reflect fresh and seasonal ingredients. Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience. Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage costs efficiently. Handle kitchen budgets and maintain financial records. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Address any kitchen-related issues promptly and effectively. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Maintain high standards of food quality and consistency. Develop and maintain a dynamic and appealing menu. Achieve efficient kitchen operations with minimal waste. Ensure staff compliance with health and safety protocols. Successfully manage kitchen budgets and inventory. Foster a positive and productive kitchen environment. Ensure timely and accurate meal preparation and delivery. Handle kitchen issues promptly and professionally. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role. Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and culinary techniques. Excellent leadership and team management skills. High standards of cleanliness and food hygiene. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle high-pressure environments with ease.
