Position: Head Chef

Location: Kloof Street, Cape Town

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all kitchen operations and ensure smooth functionality.
• Lead and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
• Develop and update menus to reflect fresh and seasonal ingredients.
• Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
• Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience.
• Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage costs efficiently.
• Handle kitchen budgets and maintain financial records.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Address any kitchen-related issues promptly and effectively.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

1. Maintain high standards of food quality and consistency.
2. Develop and maintain a dynamic and appealing menu.
3. Achieve efficient kitchen operations with minimal waste.
4. Ensure staff compliance with health and safety protocols.
5. Successfully manage kitchen budgets and inventory.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and culinary techniques.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• High standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle high-pressure environments with ease.
• Culinary qualifications are a plus.

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience.
