SUMMARY:
A fast-growing, health-focused café and juicery brand in Cape Town is looking for a visionary HEAD CHEF to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
This role goes beyond running a kitchen. You'll be shaping menus, recipes and wellness products that support the brand's growth into a recognised name in functional, nutrition-led food, working primarily out of a central production kitchen while guiding consistency and innovation across all store locations. Core Criteria: Solid experience in recipe development, costing and scalable food production Strong understanding of nutrition, functional ingredients and wellness-focused cooking (gut health, immunity, fermentation, plant-forward menus) Proven ability to balance creativity with commercial viability Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, growth-stage environment Genuine passion for food as a tool for health and longevity Core Responsibilities: Develop seasonal menus aligned with the brand's wellness positioning Create, test and cost recipes that are nutritious, scalable and commercially sound Design juice cleanses, functional wellness shots and healing broths Develop ready-to-eat meals, snacks, frozen items and pantry products for online retail Research global food trends and nutritional science to keep offerings current Maintain consistency and quality standards across all store locations Collaborate with leadership on long-term brand and product strategy On Offer: Salary: R15,000 to R18,000 per month, depending on experience Full-time position based in Cape Town Opportunity to help build and shape a growing wellness food brand from an early stage
