Head Chef

• The Head Chef is responsible for the entire day-to-day operations of the Café
• The responsible individual will undertake the ordering, management and maintenance of all inventory and equipment
• The individual will be responsible for Staff Management and all related checks and training of staff
• The Head Chef is responsible to submit recipe costings to the admin department before a new menu item or special item is created or sold
• The Head Chef is responsible for any and all food preparation, storage, rotation, inventory maintenance and minimal wastages

• Constructing continental menus and dishes
• Able to keep rotation of new specials weekly
• Manage Café staff and maintain clean and sanitized workplace
• Coordinate events with café staff
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations as per the Foodstuffs Act
• Equipment and inventory control – ordering, maintenance, usage, stock counts, etc.
• Carry out the daily cash-up and weekly reporting requirements
• Maintain a professional image upholding the brand at all times
• Foster an environment of polite and friendly interaction between staff and customers
• Ensure that all customers are served with the best customer service
• Ensure all customer complaints are dealt with fairly
