Head of Financial Accounting to oversee the full finance function across multiple entities.

POSITION INFO:

Head Financial Accountant

A leading organisation in the FMCG environment is seeking a qualified Head of Financial Accounting to oversee the full finance function across multiple entities.

Minimum Requirements:

BCom degree or equivalent (SAICA/SAIPA Articles advantageous)
Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS; GAAP beneficial)
Proficient in Evolution or similar accounting systems
Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel
Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage teams
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Fluent in English with excellent communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

Full financial management, including preparation of consolidated financials
Cash flow reporting, forecasting, and budget coordination
Ensure compliance with tax, VAT, and statutory regulations
Lead audit processes and manage internal controls
Analyse financial performance and drive variance reporting
Review and approve reconciliations and payments
Liaise with banks, SARS, external auditors, and key stakeholders
Manage a finance team of 10+, including a dedicated creditors function
Drive performance management, coaching, and development initiatives

This role is suited for a results-driven finance professional with a strong corporate finance background and leadership capability.
