JOB SUMMARY:
An exciting position exists for the Head of Legal and Risk to work as the principal legal counsel and adviser to the Board of Directors, Executive Committee (ExCo), Management Committee (MANCO) and Departmental Heads concerning matters of corporate governance and policy as well as the legal rights, obligations and risks relating to the Company and the sectors in which it operates.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements:

LLB Degree
Background in regulatory risk management, industrial relations and contract management
8 years extensive corporate and commercial law experience (3 of which are at management level)
Understanding of the processes, structure and regulation of multi-national organisations
Management of cross-border transactions, dispute resolution, intellectual property law and competition law
Interaction and negotiations with government agencies, including in an international setting
Understanding of unique operating requirement in South Africa e.g. BBBEE and public procurement rules and processes
