JOB DESCRIPTION:

A niche media agency has an opportunity for a Head of Animation. You will need to be an experienced 3D animator and have experience in managing a team and studio workflows.

Duties include:

Oversight on quality of all 3D animations/outputs
Provide insight to accurate producing of animation quotes
Along with the Traffic Manager, ensure jobs are scheduled correctly into the department and be the link that ensures time is allocated accurately and deadlines are met
Delegate work through the pipeline to the team members.Ensuring there is consistency between the storyboard and final animation work
Providing feedback and critiques to the team during the production phase
Ensuring client and internal feedback or changes have been briefed and implemented
Being the contact between client services and the team
Managing freelancers and outsource partners
Ensuring that all animation assets and are saved in good order, that the animation library is up to date, well organised and able to be presented to management

Requirements:

Experience in digital publishing or animation related industry and providing art direction and mentorship across a multi-disciplinary team
Working knowledge of Blender, Autodesk Maya and the Adobe suite
Working knowledge of Google Workspace
Experience in managing a team and studio workflows
Not being afraid of getting close to highly technical content
Understand the urgency of meeting agreed deadlines
Good people skills
Being able to work under pressure
Ability to take initiative
Fluent in English.
