SUMMARY:
Head of Operations required for a Client in the Educational Space Will be working remotely

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements:

• Education and or Service environment pref
• Must have Agile and Lean environment exp
• Project Management experience
• Tertiary qualification essential with a min of 10 years of operations management experience

Job Purpose:

• The head of operations will be required to support Africa Division to achieve its strategic and business objectives by overseeing its Health and Safety, COVID, Operational, and Systems related activities and to ensure that Customer needs are met by a skilled, motivated, safe, and engaged operational workforce, working in an Agile and responsive organization. 
• The Head of Operations will help the thinking and innovative growth of the operations function, broadening its scope in advance of business needs. 
• The head of operations will oversee all Operation functions within the Organisation to provide an enjoyable, safe, and clean environment in which staff can perform to their maximum potential. 

Responsibilities:

• Formulate an operations business strategy with others in the senior management team 
• Design policies that align with overall strategy 
• Implement efficient processes and standards 
• Coordinate student and staff service operations 
• Ensure compliance with local and international laws (e.g., data protection, POPI, COVID, OHS) 
• Oversee the implementation of technology solutions throughout the organization, working with appropriate HODs 
• Manage supplier contracts and relations with suppliers, operations partner and other stakeholders 
• Oversee the operations department expenses and budgeting to help the organisation optimize costs and benefits 

Requirements:

• Proven experience as Head of Operations, Operations Director or similar Leadership roles 
• Familiarity with all business functions including HR, Finance, Supply Chain, and IT 
• Strong management capability 
• Experience with implementing IT systems 
• Knowledge of data analytics and reporting 
• Good with numbers and financial planning
