POSITION INFO:
Our client is a multinational automotive retail and property development group, operating on a scale across multiple business units. The environment is fast-paced, highly commercial and operationally focused, where finance is not a back-office function but a key driver of strategy and performance.

As the Head Office Accountant / Analyst, you will take on a hands-on, analytical role at the intersection of finance, systems and business operations. Your work will directly support executive leadership, providing insight, clarity and control across the group.

This role offers an excellent platform for a CA(SA) seeking to build strong commercial acumen, systems exposure and strategic insight — not just technical compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and relevant financial information to support executive and operational decision-making
• Perform internal audits on system integrations, including Point-of-Sale platforms
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks and opportunities
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial and management reports
• Conduct audits across key financial areas within the group
• Extract, analyze and present data in a clear, commercially focused manner
• Prepare detailed accounting schedules and supporting documentation
• Assist with ad hoc projects, including strategic and operational financial analysis
• Review management accounts, budgets and forecasts

• Newly qualified CA(SA) or eligible to register as a CA(SA)
• Recently completed SAICA articles
• Strong foundation in audit, accounting and analytical work
• Intermediate MS Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas and data analysis)
• Experience with Pastel and/or Sage
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Curious, questioning mindset with sound commercial awareness
• Comfortable working with large data sets
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
