SUMMARY:
Role purpose
- Planning and Strategy of the valuations department.
- To plan, direct, coordinate and budget, either personally or through subordinate personnel, all activities concerned with the valuations process in order to optimise the Company's profitability
- Set the quality assurance and ensure compliance to the relevant valuations standards
- Responsible for the efficiency of operations
- Financial sustainability of the business in order to improve the long-term profitability of the division
- To ensure the establishment and development of new markets in order to add value to the Valuations division and/or the Company
- To establish the Company as Real Estate experts in the market.
- To work in partnership with the organisation’s Clients, directly or through subordinate personnel, to deliver on client business objectives

o Contribute to projecting annual fee income via accurate fee forecasting/managing potential fee pipeline
o Effectively manage debtor and disbursement recovery to secure cash flow and profitability
o Implement appropriate pricing and maintain profitable fee structures
o Grow revenue and profitability generated from existing clients Operations & Risk
o Ensure all work complies with company procedures and guidelines (health & safety, quality, risk, professional code of conduct, etc.)
o Identify, manage and mitigate risks by establishing and implementing relevant plans, aligned to quality and risk procedures and achieve clear internal and external audit reports
o Support and help drive both internal and external processes People & Teams

o Keep own knowledge of relevant case law up to date
o Mutually set and achieve objectives in line with business plan

o Identify development gaps and source solutions together with People Management Consultants and key senior staff

- Operational discipline and team collaboration
o Correct completion of relevant confirmation of instructions (e.g.; Instruction Notice with CBRE; LoE with Client; LOE with Sub-contractor)
o Provision of requested information for business purposes within deadlines (eg. covering: case studies; new leads and pursuits for Pipedrive; pursuits, wins and project completions for Team Meetings
o Effective, accurate and timely maintenance of Revenue Tracker (at least monthly; probabilities; timing of likely billing; fee estimates and fee share allowances / pay-aways)
o Invoice raising, incl. adhering to FICA requirements
o Client disbursements reclaims (with invoice)
o Mitigate fee splits (company; external 3rd parties)
o Debtor management
o Collect financial Projections on a monthly basis
o Timeous invoicing

Qualifications and education
- Minimum 8 to 10 years’ experience in commercial property Valuations.
- Bachelor’s degree is a minimum requirement, relevant post graduate qualification is preferred.
- Must be RICS registered.
- Must have strong expertise in managing a diverse workforce including commissioned sales professionals.
- Must have proven exceptional client service skills and the ability to provide an advisory service to both internal and external clients.
- Must have strong understanding of the commercial property industry and demonstrate knowledge / capabilities in the areas of financial analysis, business administration, legal, human resources, ethics, marketing, business development and sales.
- Must be able to think strategically and to analyse business and financial data.
