We have an exciting career opportunity for a Head of Content to join a leading land based operator in their brand new iGaming venture in Johannesburg. You will manage and grow a team of content gurus to ensure high quality content within set deadlines by mentoring and clear leadership. If you are a fun and intellectually curious individual who is able to zoom out and see what needs to be done, this job could be perfect for you!

Your key job responsibilities as the Head of Content in Johannesburg will include:

Manage and grow a team of Content Managers and Copywriters, to ensure high quality content within set deadlines by mentoring and clear leadership
Ensure that a content team are updated on daily basis with SEO needs
Develop an editorial calendar in collaboration with the Content Managers
Lead by example, inspire and motivate the Content department
Lead the hiring process and supervise the Content team (copywriters and freelancers)
Take charge of setting up strategic direction in accordance with company goals
Ensure that the company guidelines and rules are published and accessible to all
Generate and share comprehensive and details reports about team performance and mission-related objectives
Conduct ongoing improvements of processes to ensure effectiveness and efficiency across the department
Oversee brand consistency and accuracy across content activities

Requirements for this Head of Content job in Johannesburg:

Must have copywriting and content exposure in online sportsbook/ betting and casino
Knowledge of SEO
Experience in managing a team
Motivation, dedication and desire to make a difference
Problem solving attitude through thinking outside the box
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Fluency in English
Highly organised and detail oriented
