SUMMARY:
A dynamic and fast-growing marketing agency is seeking an experienced Head of Digital to lead and scale its digital function. This role oversees a multidisciplinary team of approximately 10–15 specialists spanning social media, paid media, content, creative, community management, and reporting.

POSITION INFO:
Role Purpose This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping digital strategy, driving performance, and ensuring delivery of high-quality, results-driven campaigns across a diverse client portfolio. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands-on expertise, ensuring measurable outcomes while maintaining excellence in execution Key Responsibilities Lead digital strategy across multiple client accounts Align campaigns with business goals, audience insights, and platform best practices Provide senior-level strategic guidance to internal teams and clients Identify growth opportunities and ensure consistency across all deliverables Oversee paid media strategies across major platforms Manage campaign planning, targeting, budgets, optimisation, and reporting Ensure campaigns deliver strong ROI and measurable impact Provide technical oversight on campaign setup, tracking, and performance improvement Maintain strong working knowledge of digital platforms and their backends Oversee account structures, integrations, tracking, and governance Ensure accurate setup and compliance across all client environments Drive a data-led culture with clear performance measurement frameworks Translate insights into actionable strategy and continuous optimisation Oversee digital budgets, billing processes, and reconciliations Support proposal development, scoping, and pricing Minimum Requirements 7-10 years in digital marketing 3-5 years in a leadership or management role Proven experience managing teams and client portfolios Strong track record in digital strategy, performance marketing, and business growth Advanced experience with major advertising platforms (e.g. Meta, Google) Strong understanding of analytics, tracking, and optimisation Excellent communication and presentation abilities Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments Strong people leadership and team development skills Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
