JOB SUMMARY:
Our Client a Financial Services provider based in Bryanston is looking to recruit a Head of Employee Benefits Consulting

JOB DESCRIPTION:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY

People Management

  • Hiring and staff development
  • Performance management of EB KRA’s
  • Mentorship of the Consulting Managers, Senior Consultants and Service Consultants
  • Attend high level strategy meetings with the Consultants until required competency levels are achieved
  • Assisting staff and clients with high level queries and issues
  • Vet emails and documentation that go out to clients
  • Management of staff related issues
  • High level feedback and reporting on a monthly basis
  • Monitor record keeping by employees

Client responsibilities

  • Developing servicing strategies and engaging with clients on ongoing basis
  • Implementation and management of the consulting strategy and projects into the consulting team - ensuring current service strategies are in place and followed
  • Strategic reporting to clients doing ongoing needs analysis and scheme reviews
  • Presenting and preparing Exco presentation to corporate clients
  • Quarterly strategic meetings with corporate clients
  • Build strong strategic and business relationships with clients
  • Control the overall ICU and CRM client strategy for all clients
  • Project management of new clients into their respective teams
  • Overseeing year end Healthcare and Retirement Fund year-end training project
  • Submission of management reports,

Management of Service Providers

  • Hold strategic relationships with Medical scheme and Retirement Fund administrators’ service teams
  • Hold strategic relationships with alternative product providers (i.e. OcsaCare, PrimeCure etc.)
  • Manage relationships with healthcare and retirement fund providers/ administrators
  • Building relationship with potential new suppliers and providers

Financial responsibilities

  • Monthly sign off, of consultant client allocations, revenue, and revenue allocation
  • Management of service delivery versus client revenue
  • Sign off, of leave and travel claims.
  • Identify and pursue new business and cross-selling opportunities

Cross Selling

  • Identify cross selling opportunities within your portfolio of clients and create a platform/opportunity for the relevant sales team to close the deal;
  • Target R200k per quarter (R800k per annum).

QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCY AND EXPERIENCE

  • Tertiary qualification. FSR Fit & Proper compliant (NQF Level 5, Regulatory Exams), Financial Planning Higher Certificate (NQF 6) (preferred), Management Certificate/Diploma/Degree and continuous learning is expected.
  • MS Office proficient and proficiency in English (second language proficiency preferable); driver’s license
  • 10 – 15 years’ experience in Employees Benefits Consulting and 5 years’ experience in people management.
