An established group business based in the CBD is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to join the organisation following a recent resignation. This is a senior leadership role with significant exposure to group finance, treasury, and commercial decisionâmaking across multiple entities. The role suits a commercially astute, agile finance leader who operates comfortably at executive level and adds value through influence rather than rigid process.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:
The Head of Finance will provide seniorâlevel financial leadership across a group environment, supporting the Group CFO in driving strategic, commercial, and treasuryâfocused decisionâmaking. The role is responsible for overseeing group financial operations across multiple legal entities, with a strong emphasis on cashflow planning, liquidity management, and the optimisation of working capital. A key focus of the position is managing foreign exchange exposure and developing effective FX and investment risk strategies. The role will contribute to commercial initiatives including cost optimisation, profitability analysis, and selective M&A activity. In addition, the Head of Finance will play a pivotal role in stakeholder engagement at EXCO level, regulatory interaction including the Reserve Bank, corporate tax matters, and the implementation of core financial systems

Skills & Experience:
Develop and execute treasury, cashflow, and liquidity strategies to support group objectives
Design and manage the group’s FX and investment risk framework, including exposure monitoring and mitigation
Provide detailed commercial insight on cost structures, profitability, and financial performance
Support corporate activity including M&A evaluations, financial modelling, and due diligence
Manage regulatory and statutory interactions, including Reserve Bank engagement and corporate tax matters
Lead and support the financial systems migration from Accpac to Sage X3, ensuring continuity and data integrity
Minimum 5 - 10 years’ postâarticles commercial experience, preferably within a group environment

Qualification:
CA(SA) qualification (essential)
