SUMMARY:
Are you a commercially driven finance leader ready to take ownership of finance across a fast-paced retail environment?

POSITION INFO:
Join a leading organisation in the retail sector in Gauteng, operating across a dynamic store network with a strong customer and operational focus.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee the full finance function across multiple retail stores and business units
Drive financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial planning
Prepare and present board packs, executive reports, and financial insights
Analyse store performance, GP margins, stock movement, and operational profitability
Oversee cash flow management, working capital, and financial risk management
Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and corporate governance standards
Lead internal and external audit processes and manage stakeholder relationships
Drive process improvements, financial controls, and operational efficiencies
Partner closely with operations and executive teams to support strategic business decisions
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:

CA(SA), CIMA, or equivalent finance qualification (essential)

Experience:

8–10+ years’ finance experience within the retail or FMCG sector
Proven experience in a Head of Finance, Financial Manager, or Senior Finance Leadership role
Strong exposure to multi-store or multi-branch retail operations

Skills:

Advanced financial reporting and commercial finance expertise
Strong understanding of retail operations, stock management, and margin analysis
Advanced Microsoft Excel and ERP system experience

Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment
Strategic thinker with strong operational finance capabilities
Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills
