POSITION INFO:
As the Head of Finance, the role will oversee the Finance function for Africa, providing insightful financial leadership and enabling the business to achieve its growth objectives. The role will be based in South Africa, with regular travel into neighbouring regions.

The successful incumbent will play a key part in strengthening governance, optimising financial systems, and supporting business growth across a diverse project portfolio.

ThisÂ isÂ aÂ criticalÂ leadershipÂ roleÂ suitedÂ toÂ aÂ CA(SA)/CIMA with extensive experience in multi-country operations and a passion for driving performance in complex, fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the finance function across Southern Africa
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to drive informed decision-making
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements across multiple jurisdictions
Manage project accounting, cost control, and profitability analysis
Partner with business leaders to improve financial performance and mitigate risk
Drive process improvement and strengthen internal controls
Mentor and develop finance teams across various regions
Oversee audits, ensure readiness, and maintain strong governance across the region
Travel regularly to support in-country operations

Job Experience and Skills Required:

CharteredÂ AccountantÂ (CA(SA))Â orÂ CIMA,Â with a preference to CA(SA)
5â10 years post-articles experience in a senior finance role
PriorÂ experienceÂ inÂ theÂ construction or engineering sector isÂ required
StrongÂ internal controlÂ experienceÂ isÂ essential
GlobalÂ reportingÂ andÂ workingÂ experienceÂ inÂ a listed entity wouldÂ beÂ ideal
ExposureÂ toÂ cross-border operations and financial management in other African countries
Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability and willingness to travel extensively within Southern Africa
