Head of Finance - East Rand - JHB

The main purpose of the role is to play an active role within Finance and Commerce as well as the business as a whole. The role consists of a range of responsibilities that include but are not limited to succession planning, supervision of the branch’s finance department, ensuring that all accounting activities comply with legislation and financial regulations. The job holder must continuously maintain and improve the company’s financial position by way of
variance reports and forecasting.

Principal Accountabilities
Approve or reject budgets.
Financial forecasting (monthly. quarterly and/or annually)
In-depth expense/cost analysis.
Variance reporting in order to compare financial performance changes.
Maintain / update CRM system to provide an audit trail.
Cash flow management.
Facilitate the budget and forecast process for the Company and ensure it aligns with broader business objectives
Support and assist your team members where required
Secure new business by negotiating contracts
Report on sales and company budgeting duties for the region.
Management of key accounts.
Any other ad-hoc duties.

Additional Requirements
Must be prepared to travel throughout the region and other areas of South Africa and Africa when required
Actively take part in the company in-house continuous training programme
The role requires the candidate to be able to drive

Qualifications:

Current full and clean driving license

Leaving Certification grade 12 / N2 in Maths and English (or equivalent)
Qualified CA(SA)
CTA
CIMA

Skills and Knowledge:

IFRS
Advanced Microsoft Excel
ERP System
Advanced bookkeeping.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages
Ability to prioritise work and manage projects
Ability to demonstrate an understanding of company forecasting and budgeting.

5 years post articles experience.
5 – 7 years Management experience.
3 – 5 years Finance experience
Financial Reporting
Understanding of manufacturing / within a sales / procurement environment.

Understanding and knowledge of opportunities within the region.
