JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the Steel Production sector has an EE opportunity available for a Head of Internal Assurance in the Vanderbijlpark area.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements:

University degree in Accountancy / Economics / Business Administration / Engineering / Computer Science /Law;
Professional Qualifications (Chartered Accountant, CIA, CISA) or other professional qualification (Engineering, Phd., Legal)
Minimum of 8 years audit experience in internal /statutory audit with one of the big four, the internal audit department of a large manufacturing company
International experience is preferable.
Excellent understanding of (risk based) auditing concepts, including working knowledge of finance and accounting principles
Ability to apply IIA concepts and techniques to evaluate process integrity and controls
Working knowledge of ERP – Systems, e.g. SAP

KPAs:

Develop the risk inventory and a risk based audit plan for the assigned area of responsibility which prioritizes audit areas critical to the business
Ensure that adequate audit coverage is achieved for the assigned area/plant of responsibility
Independently perform financial and operational audits as per the audit plan.
Develop procedures / audit approaches for auditing new processes and/or taking different approaches to well known processes.
Assist in the preparation of the reporting for the audit committee or other corporate purposes
