JOB SUMMARY:
One of our clients in the service environment, is on the market for a Head of Internal Audit to join their team. This role is based in KZN Durban. Their core focus is freeing people from limitations and shifting the lives of all those it touches. One of the responsibilities is to lead Internal Audit's annual enterprise risk assessment and planning process to develop the audit plan and ensure the plan is responsive to and aligned with risk profile of the organisation. JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:

Lead Forensic Investigator
Investigate all irregularities relating to fraud/criminality reported in the business (eg. fraudulent claims, fraudulent sales, misuse of company property etc.)
Apply a risk-based approach to the rollout of Internal Audit activities
To protect the business against any fraudulent activity posed across all channels and claims
Oversee the execution of individual audits defined in the audit plan ensuring the highest level of service quality and client satisfaction, including third party service providers
Responsible for providing weekly/monthly reports on statuses and current workflow of all ongoing investigations - including filling of all evidence where required
Support Data Security Manager in preventing and detecting cyber threats

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

Matric
BCom in Forensic Investigation or Internal
CA(SA)

Experience:

8/9 years’ experience in a managing people
6 years in an Internal Audit role / Forensic investigation
Completed articles and experience within an audit firm
Experience within the insurance industry

Skills & Competencies:

Strong technical skills
A desire to add value and make a difference
The ability to manage stress, pressure and competing demands
Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
A self-starter who can run independently with complex projects
