POSITION INFO:
Role: Head of Investment Technical Support Category: Investments Location: Cape Town Salary: Market-related Our client, a premier financial services firm, is seeking an accomplished senior leader to shape technical solution competency, market alignment, and strategic growth across their Business Development division. Key Responsibilities: Drive the strategic positioning, industry competency, and formal training programs for the Business Development team. Lead the resolution of complex technical queries and maintain complete sign-off authority on all technical market communications. Design and execute strategic plans, digital interventions, and marketing support initiatives to enhance distribution channel capability. Provide expert technical problem-solving support to client services and marketing divisions. Collaborate across business units and broader group structures to align operational plans with overarching financial drivers and budgets. Deliver strategic leadership, coaching, and performance management for direct reports while fostering a high-performance culture. Represent the business at industry forums and seminars, staying ahead of regulatory changes and implementing required operational adaptations. Key Requirements: Related undergraduate degree accompanied by a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning, CFP designation, and active FPI membership. 5 to 7 years of progressive experience within an investment financial planning environment. Minimum of 3 years in senior management and direct team leadership. In-depth understanding of the financial planning landscape, investment product offerings, platform drivers, and distribution channels. Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and partnership management. Strong authoring capabilities to write for technical industry audiences as well as public financial education content. Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, negotiation, and resilience.
