Head of Marketing and Sales

SUMMARY:
A growing player in the renewable energy space is looking for a dynamic Head of Marketing & Sales to help them scale. The business works across Africa and Europe, helping solar companies grow through sales and marketing strategy. Now, it’s time to grow their own brand – and that’s where you come in.
 
You’ll drive lead generation, handle outbound sales, and create sharp, effective social media content that speaks to solar businesses. This role blends creativity, hustle, and strategy – and it’s ideal for someone who’s as excited about solar as they are about scaling a business

POSITION INFO:

Develop and execute outbound B2B sales strategies across email, LinkedIn, phone, and video
Proactively identify and target ideal clients within the solar industry, both locally and internationally
Manage and qualify inbound and outbound leads, moving them through the sales funnel
Design and create persuasive marketing content across channels – emails, case studies, landing pages, and social media
Plan and schedule content calendars aligned with seasonal trends and campaigns
Monitor and analyse sales and marketing performance metrics to adjust strategies in real-time
Maintain and update the CRM system, ensuring leads and communications are well-documented and organised
Support light admin for proposals, onboarding, and account setup
Collaborate directly with the founder on brand positioning, pricing strategy, and long-term growth planning
Keep a finger on the pulse of solar industry trends, competitor activity, and client pain points
Contribute to strategic decisions about productised service offerings and market expansion

Skills & Experience (Not negotiable):
2 years’ experience in the solar industry (non-negotiable)
Strong understanding of marketing and outbound sales strategies
Proven ability to generate and close leads
Confident content creation skills (writing, conceptualising, scheduling)
Excellent time management and self-discipline in a remote setting
Experience using CRM tools for tracking and reporting
Strategic thinker who can also execute day-to-day work
