SUMMARY:
Our client in the Logistics Industry has an opportunity available for Head of Operations in the Cape Town area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

Grade 12/ Matric
Must have a relevant 4 year Qualification in Logistics/Business Management/Business Administration or equivalent (NQF 7)
Must have a Management Course/Qualification - NQF Level 5/6/7
Management Development Program - recommended
Must have 8 years of operational experience in Logistics and/or Operations
Must have 5 years of Managerial/Supervisory experience in Logistics and/or Operations
Must have 2 years of operational exposure to e-commerce delivery networks, groceries or quick service restaurants
Code B Motor vehicle license
Microsoft Office (Office, Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
Webservice Interfaces will be desirable
Strong understanding of software platforms, systems and continuous improvement
Knowledge of the logistics/distribution industry
Knowledge of relevant legislation
Flexibility to meet customer requirements

KPAs:

Provide Organisational Leadership via strategic and tactical direction ensuring that execution of Operations and deployment of resources is to the cost and service level expectations of customers
Service level agreements are in place and agreed to meet business requirements
Monitor performance against agreed KPIs and targets by take corrective actions as and when required
Client relationship
Manage managers in the achievement of planned divisional objectives and targets
Accurate monthly reports submitted (Service KPI’s, productivity, losses, Cost to serve)
Manage the company’s risk exposure through identification and maintenance of risk control measures to minimize liability
