Key Performance Areas

Provide overall leadership for operations, setting priorities, driving performance, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Oversee and be accountable for the management and performance of Sales, Warehouse, and Finance departments to support profitability targets.
Report directly to the CEO on operational performance, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate with the Senior Management team to achieve financial, productivity, margin improvement, and customer satisfaction goals.
Champion continuous improvement through employee engagement, process optimization, and adoption of best practices.
Lead and inspire teams to consistently meet and exceed objectives.
Ensure compliance with local and international laws, as well as Group policies and directives.
Maintain a safe, healthy, and engaging work environment that fosters commitment and accountability.

Minimum Requirements

Matric plus a relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce and/or Finance.
Minimum of 10 years in a senior leadership role, with extensive experience in financial and operational management.
Proven track record in the shipping and logistics industry (advantageous).
Experience leading teams in a unionized environment.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Hands-on, responsible leader with a proactive approach to daily operations.
Strong analytical and strategic mindset with excellent business and financial acumen.
Innovative, solution-oriented thinker with critical problem-solving skills.
Exceptional planning, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
Resilient and adaptable, able to thrive in a pressurized, deadline-driven environment.
