Key Performance Areas

• Provide overall leadership for operations, setting priorities, driving performance, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Oversee and be accountable for the management and performance of Sales, Warehouse, and Finance departments to support profitability targets.
• Report directly to the CEO on operational performance, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with the Senior Management team to achieve financial, productivity, margin improvement, and customer satisfaction goals.
• Champion continuous improvement through employee engagement, process optimization, and adoption of best practices.
• Lead and inspire teams to consistently meet and exceed objectives.
• Ensure compliance with local and international laws, as well as Group policies and directives.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and engaging work environment that fosters commitment and accountability.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric plus a relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce and/or Finance.
• Minimum of 10 years in a senior leadership role, with extensive experience in financial and operational management.
• Proven track record in the shipping and logistics industry (advantageous).
• Experience leading teams in a unionized environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Hands-on, responsible leader with a proactive approach to daily operations.
• Strong analytical and strategic mindset with excellent business and financial acumen.
• Innovative, solution-oriented thinker with critical problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional planning, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
