Our client, a successful distance higher education giant, is looking for a seasoned senior Sales manager/Sales exec to lead the sales and marketing business unit with a focus on driving sales initiatives and increase brand awareness. Seeking a strong entrepreneurial personality and a strong decision maker. Transformational leader, strong decision maker, implement meaningful change, experience working in an entrepreneurial run environment for profit.
 
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Relevant Diploma/ Degree
10-15 Years sales experience with at least 5 being in a senior sales manager/sales executive role
Previous experience in implementing sales systems and managing the change management process
Proven experience in building sales teams
Proven experience in managing a marketing team
Previous experience overseeing a sales call centre will be advantageous
Proven experience in creating and implementing commission and incentive schemes
Natural leader with an ability to inspire performance with sales teams.
Strong commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial approach to business development.
Formal sales training would be an advantage but not essential.
Proven track record of achieving sales growth and delivery of results to business plans
 
 
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for generating profitable revenue for the business with full management of a team of national sales manager, sales consultants and marketing manager with an associated marketing budget, and via participation in the senior leadership team structures.   
Responsible for the planning, quota setting, reporting, management, sales process optimization, sales training, sales job design, sales program implementation.
Responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of the assigned teams within the sales department and reports directly to the COO and relevant stakeholders.
Responsible for directing all sales activities for registrations and ensuring the company’s sales/enrolments grow year on year in line with targets.
Implementation and achievement of the Group Sales strategy including Sales Commission structures.
To assist the sales force in the management and understanding of bottlenecks, inconsistencies, and impediments in processes in order to enable constant sales process and strategy improvement.
Creating an annual marketing strategy and work collaboratively with the academic team specifically and fostering a culture of continuous process improvement
Ensure that the CRM system is optimally deployed to all sales agents and that sales conversion ratios per sales agent are maintained, monitored and remedial actioned, where necessary
Manage the Discount, Credit Note and Bursary process
Drive the registration process, more specifically the conversion of “Pending” students into “Registered” students
Drive the entry into the corporate and municipal space including managing key accounts directly or collaboratively as may be agreed
