My client, an established luxury hospitality group, is seeking a commercially driven and proactive Head of Sales – Rooms Division to lead accommodation sales and business development across two established properties in the Helderberg and Franschhoek regions.

This is a hands-on, market-facing role for an experienced hospitality sales professional who understands the leisure accommodation market, enjoys building relationships and has a proven ability to develop new business and drive room-night revenue.

HEAD OF SALES - ROOMS DIVISION Somerset West | Helderberg & Franschhoek My client, an established luxury hospitality group, is seeking a commercially driven and proactive Head of Sales - Rooms Division to lead accommodation sales and business development across two established properties in the Helderberg and Franschhoek regions . This is a hands-on, market-facing role for an experienced hospitality sales professional who understands the leisure accommodation market, enjoys building relationships and has a proven ability to develop new business and drive room-night revenue. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE To drive accommodation revenue through new business development, strategic account management and the strengthening of relationships across key domestic and international leisure markets. The successful candidate will be highly visible in the market, identifying opportunities, developing new accounts, conducting sales calls and meetings, and converting business into room nights and revenue. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO Develop and implement sales initiatives focused on accommodation and room-night revenue Identify, develop and convert new leisure business opportunities Build and maintain relationships with tour operators, travel agents, wholesalers and key leisure partners Develop and grow existing accounts while actively pursuing new business Conduct sales calls, client meetings, presentations and property site inspections Represent the properties at relevant trade shows, sales missions and industry events Expand the properties' presence across key domestic and international leisure markets Maintain a strong sales pipeline and follow opportunities through to conversion Work closely with Revenue, Reservations and Operations to maximise business opportunities Monitor market trends, competitor activity and opportunities for revenue growth Maintain accurate sales activity, account information, reporting and forecasts CRITERIA Relevant qualification in Hospitality, Sales, Marketing or a related field advantageous Solid, recent experience in hotel or hospitality sales, preferably within the leisure accommodation sector Proven ability to generate new business and accommodation revenue Established industry relationships and a good understanding of leisure distribution channels Experience working with tour operators, travel agents, wholesalers and\/or other leisure partners Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the accommodation market Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills Proactive, energetic and highly relationship-driven Strong business development and closing ability Well organised, self-motivated and able to work independently A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as required This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic hospitality sales professional to take ownership of the accommodation sales portfolio of two established properties in two of the Western Cape's most sought-after leisure destinations.
