Head of Supply Chain

We have a position for a Head of Supply Chain at a Multinational company in the Fourways area. This position will be on a Hybrid work model

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, and Inventory Management.
• Preferable certifications:
  
  • Certified Project Master
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management
  • Certified in Planning and Inventory Management
• A minimum of seven years’ professional experience in Supply Chain, Inventory Management, and/or Strategic Sourcing, with a track record of meeting and exceeding assigned goals and objectives.
• Experience in the management of Supplier relationships and negotiating Statements of Work (SOWs), Pricing and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Three years’ management experience, including the experience of leading a small team.
• Wireless telecommunications industry experience, including sourcing or working in the construction or operations functions.

• Advanced Negotiation Skills
• Able to work effectively across many internal functional groups to optimise product offerings and resolve issues.

• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Organised, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Job Purpose:

• To strategically source quality, fit-for-purpose) materials and services at lowest total cost using a supplier management programme that leverages best-in-class people, systems and processes.
• To oversee the procurement and supply chain cycle for all PSCO (Procurement and Supply Chain Organisation) company-, project-, and operations-related activities.
• To bring best-in-class practices, sourcing methodologies and execution to PSCO.
• To manage a team of purchasing, logistics and warehousing specialists.
• To think creatively and challenge the status quo processes, while upholding the highest levels of integrity and compliance.
• To ensure compliance to procurement policy and procedures and be able to scale with the company’s activities.
• To manage and enhance customer relationships, building suppliers partnerships, setting up processes and process improvements, achieving cost savings goals, and negotiating with contractors and suppliers. 
• RFP process for sourcing/selecting new vendors
• Procurement planning
• Contract execution: Leads contract execution and ensures valid contracts are in place prior to issuing POs (purchase orders).
