POSITION INFO:
HEAD OF SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNING
Supply Chain
Accountable for Supply chain best practice as well as the end-to-end S&OP process through integrating various functional activities and ensuring adherence to an operational framework of policies and procedures in order to optimise service delivery. This role will work with various related variables, spanning across different functional areas and require an understanding of organisational processes, procedures, standards and controls.
Job Purpose
The purpose of the role is to ensure that The Beverage Company's Customer Service, Volume, Market Share and Working Capital aspirations are realised through accurate Demand and Supply Planning, enabling the Company to accurately satisfy Customers brand, flavour and pack demands while managing Working Capital by synchronising the supply chain.
Key Accountabilities and Outputs
Lead Demand Planning and Sales Forecasting Activities
Design and generate accurate statistical forecasting models
Conduct current and future forecasting analysis
Ensure that processes and methods followed are based on the best practice
Generate annual volume forecasts (for each trading day) at SKU level for Plants and Distribution centres
Lead the End-to-End Sales and Operational Planning Process
Ensure that a seamless end-to-end S&OP process with standards and controls are in place to optimise S&OP across the business
Oversee end-to-end S&OP, in conjunction with Regional Logistics and Regional Operations Managers to guarantee order fulfilment in line with customer requirements, cost, quality and time parameters
Oversee Inventory Management
Identify demand forecast risks and develop effective mitigation plans
Control inventory targets in order to ensure the right coverage and avoid lost sales or over stock situations
Make recommendations of inventory target adjustments based on changes in demand and market trends
Oversee Production Planning & Materials Planning
Develop Operating and Tactical plans in conjunction with Regional Operations Managers to optimise Packaging lines
Define and setup daily Packaging plan
Effectively manage variances in packaging plan
Engagement with key stakeholders regarding materials planning, including the requirement for imported Pepsi kits
General Business, Financial and People Management
Actively participate in strategic planning and budgeting processes
Drive continuous improvement through streamlining and optimising relevant operational practices, processes and systems
Ensure adherence to operational and financial frameworks of practices, processes, standards and controls
Manage cost drivers and take the necessary action to mitigate financial risk and address variances and discrepancies
Ensure that the right people capacity is in place and manage employee performance through effective and goal directed people leadership
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelors Degree (3 years) / NQF level 7 (Essential)
Up to 8 years experience (Leadership)
