Head of Technical Sales

SUMMARY:
Head of Technical Sales - Processing, Metallurgical, Chemical R 65 000.00 to R 85 000.00 TCTC per month Centurion

POSITION INFO:

An International company is seeking to bring in a Head of technical Sales to be responsible for Tenders and Projects; Application Engineers; Technical Sales, Product Managers and Field Services. 

*Full spec will be provided to applicable applicants as there are departmental duties included for above-mentioned departments.

Qualifications 

• Matric (Grade 12)
• 4-year Degree in Engineering (Processing, Metallurgy, Chemical)
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in related Processing or Engineering Field
• Pump installations and Pumping applications experience will be advantageous
• Work experience in a pump equipment sales environment in the marketing and sales of slurry pumps would be beneficial
• Good interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to present to large audiences are also required with knowledge of processing equipment and processing plants 

Key responsibilities required for the day-to-day activities include: 

• Gather relevant value adding information on allocated Projects to offer the best possible offer to clients and executing an informed sales plan.
• Provide after-sales support to clients and sales teams. Get the essential feedback on commissioning from the Technical Sales and Application engineers
• Guide the applications engineers on the process flows and equipment or our product offering
• Build strong client relationships, through regular communication and meetings with your teams
• Be involved with client relationship-building activities and travelling to sites across the continents to meet or oversee project installations.
• Report on the status of Projects, value, submission process, discounts offered, and potential cash flows
• Follow up on tenders submitted with the assistance of the relevant Sales Representatives
• Driving the entire project process from first contact until the invoicing of the project and from timeto-time commissioning assistance.
• Overview projects management on all projects received
• Reviewing tender proposals
• Project rating and classification and historian building
