Functional Strategy Implementation and Execution
Work closely with the CEO to deliver profitable products, services and applications to sustain business growth in line with the agreed business strategy.
Develop operational plans to support existing services.
Develop technical aspects of the business and Partner Businesses strategies to ensure alignment with the stated objectives and future imperatives.
Lead the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships and external relationships.
Participate in overall business technology planning, providing input to a future vision of appropriate technologies and systems in relation to the company’s needs, intent and capabilities.
Drive integration of the business and its products and services
Manage Cloud Infrastructure Resources (AWS), Software Developers (Python), and Support Organisation.
Advise on architectural decisions in the development of the products and Services.
Pursue the automation of products and services creating a superior customer experience.
Prioritisation of delivery through resource allocation in relation to businesses needs.
Enable the delivery of, and expansion of the products and services across the businesses and select Associates.
Maintaining and developing technology and processing environments, data assets, products and services.
Assess the relative impact of emerging technology to strategic business needs and interpret their meaning to the business.
Drive application brainstorming.
Creates and maintain a customer centric delivery culture, focused on delivering results by providing ongoing coaching and development of teams, and tailoring of applications to meet needs and maintain relevance.
Operationalise Products
Operational and production activities (including financial implications of those activities) that leverage data and the available technical resources for delivery of internal and external projects for the Group and select Affiliates.
Be responsible and accountable for the efficient and effective operation of, and delivery from products and services.
Packaging and scoping requirements to deliver capabilities that may enable solutions and applications as and where required
Translates strategy into actionable applications from the business environment that (1) can facilitate diverse and detailed applications (2) enable large scale processing and (3) manage data sensitivity and security concerns.
Build and maintain products and solutions as required by partner business.
Oversees, architects, develops, implements and reviews current and future capabilities, products, solutions and strategies in relation to prioritised business requirements and opportunities.
Operations and Project Management
Leverage the advantages of bringing together operational expertise and system capabilities to drive more efficient and more robust ways of working.
Approve, prioritise and control projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems.
Operate efficiently and cost-effectively within a cloud based analytical and decisioning environments.
Responsible for the development and implementation of new processes and procedures for effective and efficient team operations as they relate to commercialisation of the business.
Creates an effective social system and leads teams to prepare and complete action plans; implementing productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining organisational sales system improvements.
Ensure that business change projects are delivered in line with directions from appropriate Management levels.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation
Exploring available technologies, applications, data and commercial opportunities to generate future capabilities that enable revenue streams for the business.
Maintain the fitness of the business into the future by looking for opportunities to continuously improve operational efficiency, effectiveness and customer experience with existing product and services pipelines.
Contribute to the development of business unit strategy by providing a view on potential improvements for products or services and an assessment of the existing situation and anticipated changes in the external environment.
Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives by working across technical teams to enhance the systems, processes and controls, methods, standards, capabilities.
Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity.
Enable a chain of continuous capability development, and seamless handover of capabilities when required.
Governance, Security, Risk Management and Compliance
Works with the Cyber Security to ensure that the information used adheres to the regulatory and security policies and agreements in place and provides motivation to improve upon these where possible.
Ensures all IT and digital audits meet the standards set by the Group Audit and Risk Committee and other operating standards.
Formulate policies and procedures in line with relevant legislation and ensure implementation thereof.
Drives the development and execution of information security, disaster recovery and business continuity plan that protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company data and technical assets.
Identify potential and current risks.
Develop and implement policies to mitigate potential risk.
Report identified risks to relevant stakeholders and action plans thereof.
Financial Management and Control
Develop, track and control the development of annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing and operations.
Manage and optimise infrastructure assets to satisfy operational and financial targets.
Identifies opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources.
Assist in developing annual operating budgets and goals.
Balance and control costs in development, production and human resources in relation to agreed delivery requirements in line with directives agreed at a board level and where appropriate partner business or affiliate requests, needs and goals.
Stakeholder Management and Engagement
Work with businesses to prioritise and synthesise information needs.
Build a culture of respect and understanding across the business and with its business partners.
Recognise outcomes which resulted from effective collaboration between teams.
Build co-operation and overcome barriers to information sharing, communication and collaboration across the business and with its business partners.
Educates the organisation both from IT perspective on new approaches.
Oversees vendor management to ensure relevant third-party vendors and service providers are providing reliable and flexible solutions and cost controls that are consistent with strategic plans and business objectives.
Leadership and Direction
Be an effective inspirational leader to facilitate the creation of motivated, accountable, full service teams who understand and strive to meet the needs of all stakeholders (be a leader that inspires and supports others to deliver and manage themselves, rather than being a command and control manager).
Coach, counsel and train the team, operational managers and staff to apply, support, sustain and develop a Continuous Improvement culture.
