Duties and Responsibilities:

• Grow the book of each individual product within WCS, in line with the agreed budgets, namely: SID, Full Book and Trade Finance
• Ensure a minimum IRR on Shareholder funds for each individual product
• Achieve a minimum average lending margin that is agreed by the Board
• Manage the costs of the Division and that the sales targets are met so that the agreed Net Profit is achieved
• Grow the client base of the Division, to ensure that there is a well-spread client base
• Ensure that the Funding Covenants are maintained at all times.
• Ensure that all staff are adequately trained to achieve their targets
• In collaboration with relative Managers, set realistic and achievable monthly targets, for sales representatives
• Conduct 6 monthly performance reviews for all staff. In conjunction with team leaders, where applicable
• Effectively manage any and all ongoing stakeholder relationships
• Implementing and managing appropriate systems and processes within the WCS Division,
• Participating actively in high-level planning and strategizing meetings, to help MW grow as a company
• Ensure good Corporate Governance within the WCS Division and segregation of duties, in line with relevant legislation
• Oversee the Management and the performance of all legal matters
• Constant interaction with Group Risk and Credit Committee, to ensure that Business and Risk is aligned
• Manage the Division within time and budget allowed
• Responsible for the reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports of WCS, to be submitted to the Company
• Reporting on the achievement of strategic objectives by the WCS Division
• Manage staff that they achieve their prescribed KPI’s
• Ensure that staff is adequately trained and continue to increase their knowledge base by way of appropriate annual training Both internal and external
• Ensure the effective development, coordination and completion of training programs to employees of the WCS Division

Qualifications

• Postgraduate Finance or equivalent
• Knowledge of WC products, namely: Single Invoice, Full Book Discounting, Trade Finance, and Structured Trade and Commodity Finance and Purchase orders
• 10 years’ experience within the banking of which 5 years in a senior management position
• Knowledge of advanced reporting
• Ability to strategize and foresee potential problem
• Ability to raise funding
