Health, Safety and Quality Assurance Manager

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and quality assurance programs and policies.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and non-compliance issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide training and support to employees on health, safety, and quality assurance practices.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to health, safety, and quality assurance.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, and implement improvements as needed.
• Prepare and present reports on health, safety, and quality assurance performance to senior management.
• Lead the process of obtaining all necessary certifications for export, ensuring the business meets international standards.
• Prepare the business for and successfully navigate the FSA audit.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, Occupational Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a health, safety, and quality assurance role within the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, FDA, HACCP).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
