SUMMARY:
Sophisticated Boutique Hotel based the Drakensberg (Kamberg area) is looking for an experienced Hotel Manager or Management Couple.

The suitable candidate will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operation of a hotel, ensuring high standards of guest service, efficient business performance, and a positive working environment for employees.

POSITION INFO:
Duties: Oversee the daily operations of all hotel departments, including reception, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance and grounds staff Oversee and do wages\/time sheets\/disciplinary hearings and all leave Petty cash - hand to shoppers and record in and outgoing monies Ensure guests receive excellent customer service and have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate hotel staff. Manage staff schedules, performance, attendance, and development. Monitor budgets, revenue, expenses, and overall financial performance. Implement strategies to maximise occupancy, revenue, and profitability. Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, security, and presentation throughout the hotel. Ensure compliance with health and safety, licensing, employment, and other relevant regulations. Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and external service providers. Monitor guest feedback and online reviews and take action to improve service quality. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures. Prepare reports on hotel performance and provide updates to bookkeeper or owners. Support marketing and promotional activities to increase bookings and attract new customers. Ensure the hotel consistently meets or exceeds company standards and guest expectations. Requirements: Grade 12 A formal hospitality qualification At least 5+ years' experience in a similar role at a high-end property Strong leadership and team-management skills. Excellent communication and customer-service abilities. Good organisational and problem-solving skills. Financial and budget-management experience. Ability to work under pressure and make effective decisions. Knowledge of hotel operations and hospitality standards. Good understanding of health, safety, and regulatory requirements. Previous experience in hospitality or hotel management. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
